Bethesda has announced a partnership with the Make-A-Wish charity whereby one person will be able to work with the developer to design a character who will appear in The Elder Scrolls VI.

Anyone can enter the auction for a chance, and the current high bid at the time this story was published was $11,650, so you're going to need deep pockets to win this one. All the proceeds go to Make-A-Wish, so your money is going to a good place and you'll have a chance to make a character alongside Bethesda, and many would agree that's a pretty incredible opportunity."

Whatever character this turns out to be, it could be joined by Skyrim Grandma, who is rumored to appear in The Elder Scrolls 6.

"With this exclusive experience, you'll work with the developers to create a custom character that will appear in the game, leaving your mark on the legendary franchise," the charity auction page says. Make-A-Wish raises money to help children who are battling life-threatening illnesses.

The Elder Scrolls 6 was announced in June 2018, so fans have been waiting a long, long time for it. In fact, the wait for the RPG recently passed a sad milestone.

Bethesda boss Todd Howard has questioned whether it was right to announce The Elder Scrolls 6 so early. Former Bethesda veteran Bruce Nesmith, meanwhile, said Bethesda announced the game so early because fans were coming with pitchforks demanding to know about the next Elder Scrolls. Nesmith has also said The Elder Scrolls 6 cannot be expected to live up to the hype.

Bethesda announcing The Elder Scrolls 6 so early was a change in form for the company. Many may recall how Bethesda announced Fallout 4 (following many leaks) in June 2015 and released it just a few months later in November 2015.

The Elder Scrolls 6 isn't the only upcoming game from Bethesda, as the studio has also discussed Fallout 5.
